Back home

So I’m back off my hols and have got over the post holiday blues. My tan is fading fast as is the memories of doing nothing on a beach as I get hit with tasks and problems from all angles. Still enough of that. Let me attempt to recap.

I got the hidden firmware for my iPhone without having to wait for the ‘official’ software update which set me up I’m time for my holiday departure with a slew of apps installed including Super Monkey Ball and Texas Hold Em. I’m going to join the ranks and say that SMB is just too hard too quick. It is very good though. I got over my 3G frustrations once I realised that given that I could find no free wifi and had disabled roaming data my phone was just as good as the new model. I also realized how much I was dependent on a net connection. I was completely isolated … Well almost. Thanks to having a load of Twitter subs and updates via SMS enabled I was treated to a stream of free information and updates which kept me abreast of all the latest gossip.

The holiday itself consisted of beach, sun, beer, repeat (as it should be) and I’ve posted the pics over on flickr. I can’t add them to this post but you should be able to see them on my photostream and photo page from the main menu bar on my blog.

Back on firmware 2.0, I’m posting this via the iPhone WordPress app which while basic will seem me good until Daniel Jalkut gets us sorted with an iPhone MarsEdit.
