Bible Blinkers

You may recall my post of the other week regarding the “Mens’ Breakfast”, well that was today and I seem to have survived unscathed.

It was a friendly affair with food laid on and a bit of friendly banter with the people there. I don’t want to be derogatory as they were a nice enough bunch so I’m not going to go into details on what was said.

I will however make one observation. While I’ve been to church before for the usual formalities and events such as births, deaths, christenings and weddings, I’ve often listened to recitals of the bible and various sermons in a take it or leave it fashion. In this instance though I was slightly unnerved to hear someone talk about creation from a biblical perspective and appear to truly believe what they were saying. It was like hearing someone stand up and try to put a case forward still believing the earth still to being flat.

Tch. The earth *is* flat. If it wasn’t, balls would roll on their own when you put them on the floor.

“All that you’re liable, to read in the bible – it ain’t necessarily so …” :-)

Those pictures of the earth that you see from space.. 3D render? Hmm.. more conspiracy theories :)
