Meet Mia(ow)

A couple of months back, after hearing a squeaking noise the bottom of the garden, we found 3 kittens in the shed. They weren’t much more than a day old. Unfortunately two were dead but one was still hanging in.

There was no sign of the mother so we brought it inside to keep it warm. We called the RSPCA and our local veterinary hospital. The RSPCA picked it up but one of the nurses at the vets had a friend who looked after these type of cases. We called the RSPCA and nominated the friend who then took charge of the kitten. Given its age it was unlikely that it would survive.

That was then, this is now. It didn’t die and exceeded everyone’s expectation. Having felt somewhat responsible for the kitten we said we’d take it, if it survived, when it was old enough. At the weekend we finally picked her up.
