Having had a few days to reflect on Pan’s Labyrinth one thing really strikes home. A closing statement that is so true in many situations.

When Ofelia dies, you the viewer have to make the exact same choice that she did. Either you accept the violence and she is dead, or you go with her fairy tale and believe she lives on.

Its a simple choice but so very, very poignant.
