Manchester tops second city poll

I always thought as Manchester being the second city anyway. But then again I am biased

Its reminiscent of that South Park Episode that I made reference to in my last post. Sensational reporting on a bit of snow. I think that they are just trying to justify the airtime they gave to last night reports of impending doom.

I know that the south has more snow than us up north but even so, from the pictures I’ve seen, its hardly a massive snow fall.

Pathetic really.

Its cold tonight which makes me wonder whether we have global warming or my theory of a shifting calendar.. or something.

I’ve not put too much thought in it but it just seems that we are perpetually 2-3 months adrift and increasing. I can’t really say that its getting warmer, or colder, but its just happening at the wrong time.

I suppose my thoughts conceived while walking to the off licence don’t hold a candle to the research done by experts and scientists but who can disagree with my logic when its February, the weather is like November and I’m feeling like Christmas is just around the corner.

It seemed that following the DNS change NTL’s servers were the last in the world to pick it up. Everyone I asked could see the site on its new server long before me but I’m back up and running now.

It was relatively pain free however it turned out that the media I uploaded since using WordPress is referenced in the MySQL database using the full static path to the homedir on the webserver and I had to manually update these in the database. I don’t know how you would go on if you had loads of entries.

Unless, of course, I’m missing something?

My host is moving me to a new cluster.

There may be some downtime but normal service will resume soon.
