A life saver of a tip for anyone with Netgear problems
I have had enough of the Indian call centres. A recent call where I couldn’t install a firmware update had the support engineer telling me that I had to do a factory reset… on 20 WAP’s and do the programming again? I don’t think so!
I called today about a similar installation, again circa 20 WG302′s to be told that I had to register a serial number before they would speak to me. I’m offsite FFS, just talk to me.. I’ve given you the model number! But no, not only did he tell me I had to go onto the net with the serial number and register but went on to explain how to attach a cable modem or DSL modem to my computer to get on the Internet. Just what do these guys have on screen in front of them?!
Anyway with a bit of digging via my supplier I came up with this life saving piece of
information:
01344 458200, press option 4 and ask for the UK support team.
Don’t press option 1 or your back with the Bombay mix support.
